I am a graduate of Cardiff University and I am registered to the General Dental Council (229404). I have been awarded my Diploma in Implant Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
I provide care for my patients at the following dental practices where my clinical practice is limited to the placement and restoration of dental implants:
I spent 2014-2019 working as a private dentist in Cardiff at a specialist practice with a particular interest in periodontology and implantology.
From 2013-2019, I also worked as a Clinical Research Fellow and a Clinical Lecturer at Bristol Dental Hospital, University of Bristol. My research interests included toothwear and denture hypersensitivity. I was also involved with undergraduate teaching & training of Periodontology at the University of Bristol, and I have assisted with practical instruction on the Masters Programme in Implantology.
From 2015-2017, I was a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Dentsply-Sirona Restoratives and designed and led multiple restorative dentistry courses as part of this role. I have also completed a Certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry at the prestigious Dominic Hassall Training Institute.
I am currently an elected representative on the executive committee of the Independent Dental Association Wales and an ambassador for the Young ITI (International Team for Implantology). These positions allow me to play an active part in shaping the delivery of independent dentistry in Wales and in helping to direct the future of implantology in the UK & Ireland.
I have held a position on the board of directors of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), where I was the Welsh Representative from 2015-2017. I am a Member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and remain an active member of the Association of Dental Implantology. I continue to lecture in the national forum.
I am honoured to be a shortlisted finalist for Best Young Dentist at both The Dentistry Awards 2020 and the Private Dentistry Awards 2020. These nominations are based on my postgraduate education, patient and colleague testimonials, quality of clinical cases and overall contribution to dentistry.
I enjoy working together with my patients in order to meet their oral health requirements. I believe in a holistic and specific approach tailored to each patient, from the nervous individual to those looking to improve their smile. I appreciate that one’s experiences and circumstances are fundamental to understanding their dental needs.
I spend all of my clinical time providing dental implants - I hope that my experience can help you to achieve your chewing and smiling needs!
I live in Cardiff with my wife Zara and two miniature dachshunds, Bibi and Bwana.
